Kaitlyn Parrotte, DPT, OCS, CMFT

Kaitlyn (Katie) received her Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. In 2017 Katie joined the ranks of two elite groups within the physical therapy world, becoming a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association, and a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art.
Prior to joining the Beyond Basics team, Katie has had experience working with adult and pediatric populations, mainly in orthopedic settings, and was part of the team that initiated a men’s and women’s pelvic floor program at NYU’s Center for Men’s Health. Currently she is expanding her knowledge in pelvic health primarily through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Institute.
Outside of working at Beyond Basics, Katie provides backstage care to Broadway actors, dancers, and singers through Performing Arts Physical Therapy. Furthermore, Katie is the Legislative Liaison for the Greater New York district of the New York Physical Therapy Association, where she coordinates local advocacy efforts related to patient care and access, as well as to the physical therapy profession overall.
Katie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA), and the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS).
